Collaborations

An invitation, not a track record.

Osaro Labs has no partnerships to announce yet. What we offer instead is a genuine invitation: help build a new African research institution while its direction is still being set.

Why collaborate early

Shape the work before it exists.

Joining at the founding stage means real influence: on which questions we pursue, how communities are engaged, and what standards the institution adopts. It also means patience; this is a long-horizon project.

Research institutions & universities

Academic partners who could advise on survey design, host taxonomic verification, or supervise early-career researchers joining future field work.

Conservation organisations

NGOs and forest-protection bodies active in southern Nigeria whose conservation priorities could align with our proposed ecological monitoring.

Funders & foundations

Grant-makers interested in early-stage, African-led biodiversity science, and willing to support capacity building before headline results exist.

Local communities & schools

Communities around the Okomu region and educators in Edo State who want to shape how research and science education are done on their terms.

What we can offer

Honest commitments at this stage.

  • A founder and mission fully committed to long-term work in Edo State.
  • Transparent documentation of everything the initiative does and does not yet have.
  • Co-design of research questions and community engagement with every partner.
  • Open publication of methods and findings as work begins.

What we cannot offer

Said plainly, to earn trust.

  • Existing laboratories, staff or completed studies; none of these exist yet.
  • Prior publications, awards or a network of named advisers.
  • Formal registration or governance structures; these are planned next steps.
